Diagnostic & Therapeutic Upper GI Scopy
Diagnostic & Therapeutic Upper GI Scopy
Upper GI Scopy (also known as Gastroscopy) is a minimally invasive procedure used to examine the upper gastrointestinal (GI) tract, including the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. This procedure helps diagnose a range of conditions such as acid reflux, ulcers, gastritis, tumors, and bleeding sources.
During the procedure, a thin, flexible tube (endoscope) with a camera is inserted through the mouth, providing a clear view of the digestive lining. This allows your doctor to identify abnormalities, take biopsies, or remove polyps if necessary.
Therapeutic Upper GI Scopy goes beyond diagnosis and can also be used for treatment, such as stopping bleeding, removing foreign objects, dilating strictures, or treating esophageal varices.
Dr. Shabeer Ahamed Veetil ensures a comfortable, patient-centered experience, using the latest technology to provide accurate results and effective treatment options for your digestive health. Book an appointment to learn more about how Gastroscopy can benefit you.
